ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A preacher of the gospel for over 60 years, Robert F. Harkrider began his life’s work in the Lord’s kingdom while in high school.  He and his wife, Arline,  have worked with local congregations in Alabama, Texas, Florida, Virginia and Georgia.  They also worked in Sydney, N.S.W. Australia for 2.5 years.  Many of their experiences and lessons learned are captured in an autobiographical account presented by Robert at the 2019 Florida College Lectures.  To listen, please click here. 

In addition to working as an evangelist of the Gospel and serving as an elder, Robert has written a commentary on Revelation (published by Truth Publications), 30 workbooks and a correspondence course on How To Understand The Bible (as seen in our online bookstore).  These published works have served as helpful and encouraging study tools for many students over many years. 

During 32 years of working as an evangelist with the South Bumby church in Orlando, FL, Robert taught the Bible on a local television station.  This program was recorded and ran for 15 years.  He guides the listener through his workbooks on: John, Acts, Romans, Ephesians/Colossians, Hebrews, and Revelation. Robert and Arline also served together as Editors of the 'Discovering God’s Way' Bible class curriculum. This series offers a comprehensive study through the Bible that includes ages from 2 years old to Adult (published by Truth Publications).

Robert and Arline have worked side-by-side in all of these efforts, while giving the glory to God.  They are thankful for all of their family and all of His blessings.
